An Introduction
Heyla! I am Carat, and I’m trying to learn how to do everything 10 things at a time. I love to sew, knit, play World of Warcraft, and cook. I’m really bad about finishing projects, so I hope that this will get me back on track, and make my home look a bit less like it’s being taken over by space invaders. Ok, that was a really bad pun but I couldn’t resist. And now 5 things about me:
- I live with my fiancée Nate, our adorably nutty roommate Leann, and their four crazy cats. I’m pretty sure the cats are hell-bent on world domination just as soon as they figure out how to get the front door open.
- I work in a fabric store and it’s a good thing I get an employee discount or I would never keep a paycheck for more than 30 minutes.
- I learned how to knit from my grandmother, the internet, and a few books. The internet was definitely the most helpful of my teachers. It;s also still my first love in the wide wide world of crafting.
- As a household we are trying to push toward eating out less and cooking more, so I’m finally getting to try recipes I’ve book marked from various cooking blogs. I hope to post lots of reviews of said recipes and maybe a few of my own.
- I’ve been learning how to sew through trial and error. Sometimes I come up with really cool things other times error is definitely the word for it.
